Past and Future Events

Events are held each year to raise money for good causes nominated by the staff of IMS MAXIMS. We welcome participation from friends and family who may enjoy a fun or challenging experience. All money raised from the events is donated to charities or nominated causes.
Newcastle to London Bike Ride 2017

 

Central London - 315 miles due south and just 24 hours! It's over the Tyne past the Angel of the North and on to the Yorkshire Hills. Through York down to the Humber - then historic Lincoln and the welcome flat lands of the East beyond, then all the way to London

Three Peaks Challenge 2016

 

What is the 3 Peaks Challenge?

There is nearly half a century of tradition involved with the challenge and lots of variations in style. The typical challenge involves climbing

 

  • Ben Nevis, Scotland's biggest mountain at 1344 meters.

  • Scafell Pike England's biggest mountain at 978 meters.

  • Snowdon, the biggest mountain in Wales at 1085 meters.

 

To complete the classic 24 hour challenge you must start at the foot of Ben Nevis and finish at the foot of Snowdon having reached all three summits.

Dublin Marathon. 2016

 

The race has come a long way since its birth in 1980. Its birth is due mainly to the vision of Noel Carroll and his ability to persuade the BHAA to take on his idea. The first race had a total of 1,420 finishers from an entry of 2,100.  This year Paul Matthews competed along with 15,000 others and finished in a credible 4 hours 47minutes

The Big Walk to Work 2014

 

A grueling walk from Kendal in Cumbria to the IMS MAXIMS company offices in central Milton Keynes a distance of 212 miles to raise awareness of the early signs of cancer. The route was divided into eight legs of approx 26 miles.
